Brian Willems, Owner

I grew up the son of a custom homebuilder in a rapidly growing town in Texas. After school and every summer I spent working for my dad. When we pulled up to a job site, I loved nothing more than jumping out of my dad's truck and looking at the materials, techniques and progress. I always loved the construction process and those early years provided me with invaluable experience working in every aspect of the construction process, gaining mastery over my craft.

I attended Texas A&M University where I received a Bachelors of Science degree in Construction Science. The program included a general primer of large-scale construction process and in-depth training in construction business management. After graduation, I was offered and accepted a position at Fluor Daniel, a multi-national fortune 500 company located in Houston, Texas.

At Fluor Daniel, I worked as part of a management team that oversaw the design and construction of petrochemical facilities in Saudi Arabia and South Africa. Working at Fluor Daniel was both an amazing and educational experience. However, I increasingly found myself desiring to get back to what I grew up doing (and truly loved), which is residential home building and remodeling.

Following my heart and dream, I moved to Los Angeles in 1992 and opened Willems Construction. Since opening Willems Construction, I’ve brought my 26 years experience to a wide variety of projects, some of which have been published. However, what’s most important to me is that most of my projects have fulfilled the homeowner's vision and desires.
